FALSE
While past generations commonly did this to help with teething discomfort and pain, there is no amount of alcohol currently thought by a majority of medical experts to be safe for infants. Instead, you may try other remedies like massaging gums with a washcloth, drug-free methods like rocking, singing or safe distraction, or an appropriate dose of an over the counter pain reliever (if approved by your child’s doctor)
